_Beilschmiedia bancroftii_ fruits . Healthy canopy tree above, fruiting well this season. Fruits (incl. pericarps) and nuts (mesocarps). on the ground from this canopy tree above. Showing the pericarps (loosely speaking: 'outer fruiting shells') of green outside – insides yellow–brown mesocarps (loosely speaking: 'the would be fruits' flesh). Inside these fruits, these the hard (loosely speaking: 'nuts') endocarps within, both ends of these endocarps ('nuts') have hard points, characteristic for this species compared with other trees' species in this wet tropics botanical Laurcaeae plants family. Mossman Gorge, long circuit track, after upper Rex creek side track, back section heading up the winding track section, on the way to the ridge, near other defunct track . 2015 January 27th 10:25 – 10:30 am .
