User's notes
Photographed ladybird Australoneda Bourgeoisi on 5th July 2025 at 12.30pm, about 7 km north of Nimbin on the edge of Nightcap National Park. Day was sunny and warm. Relocated it from the arm of a chair on veranda where I found it to garden where I photographed it. When I looked later it was gone. Mixed vegetation and trees around my house with some flooded gums 50 to 100 metres away.

Strange you posted that the media was missing or unclear as it appears at the top of this page. Maybe its unclear enough, the photo was taken in the shade not full sun but it is clear in the photo I provided. I have another photo of it on the arm of the chair that is in the sun but I cant find how to add this photo

Just realised it might be the map thats confusing things. It says Wellington-dont even know where that is. I live near Nimbin in Northern NSW where I photographed it.

@AndyH Hi Andy, When I looked at the sighting there was no photo visible. This happens sometimes that the photos don't fully upload. Not sure why I couldn't see the photo earlier but can see it now. Beautiful lady beetle. One I haven't seen before. By the way, Wellington NSW is inland on the Newel Highway a bit south of Dubbo.

Hi Alison, You seem to be a moderator for this site, any chance you could change the location attached to this sighting from Wellingrove to Nimbin. I messed up the geo location function and would like the stated location to reflect where the ladybeetle was actually seen.

@AndyH Hi Andy, I can do that. Do you want to give me a more accurate location. Doesn't have to be your actual house if you prefer not but just the street. I see you are a new member so may not know the ins and outs of the system. You can edit you own sightings also. Click on the Edit button at top right. Then above the Map there are two tabs. Click on the Enter manually and you can add a street address to correct the location.
