User's notes

A casemoth, which may be the same specimen as the casemoth at sighting 4693636, which is on the same part of the same riceflower bush (Ozothamnus diosmifolius, refer sighting 4656402), taken 2 months earlier. In this sighting it may be that the leafy elements of the external ‘cladding’ have mostly been knocked or fallen off, leaving the more stem-like bits to predominate, though a couple of dark brown protrusions may be remnant leaves still intact (photo1). The black & orange larva certainly appears to be eating the leaves of the stem it is on (photo 2, in which the head is most visible). Photo 3 shows the case mouth still open just after the lava has retreated inside, and photo 4 provides context.
