User's notes

_Syzygium luehmannii_ mature canopy tree. Healthy River bank terrace rain forest, mature canopy tree, canopy foliage, including mature leaves from its canopy above on the ground below, small seedlings in the ground below and the trunk (shown here) . Mossman Gorge, near to and visible canopy from the long circuit track approaching its end before turning the last corner up the rock steps to the end–start junction . 2017 December 9th 4:21–4:54 pm . In idenifications compare to _Syzygium canicortex_ . Here in this sighting i am confident enough of this identification, even without fertile flowering or fruiting parts, as the shown leaves clearly display enough of the venation matching the specific patterns in the RFK (2020) ed. 8 leaf scan for this species _Syzygium luehmannii_ (instead of the _Syzygium canicortex_ leaf venation) .
