_Diospyros uvida_ mature trees .
Healthy always moist forest lower storey mature (small) trees, fruiting well this season and parts of the canopy foliage (shown here) .
Photographed after recent rain weather hence fruits wet and their surface hairs not showing while wet – please refer to the February 16th sighting during drier weather showing the fruits surface dry and their hairs close–up .
Mossman Gorge, beside the track uphill from end of the suspension bridge towards the lookout to Manjal Dimbi, between the River and Rex creek .
