_Cookeina tricholoma_ (fungi)? – to confirm or change this identification . Please, if possible help identify this fungi to the species . Healthy fungi fruiting body, the cup perhaps less than fully open due to some conditions at the time or due to aging . Mossman Gorge, long circuit track, back part heading up the winding track section on the way to the ridge . 2015 January 27th 9:27–9:29 am .

I agree with your suggestion of Cookeina tricholoma, one I have longed to see since last spotting it on a trip in 2011 in a similar location - stunning little tings

@Teresa yay! Thanks. This species or related species i guess – I'm not a fungi biologist (mycologist).
Nor a moderator here in NatureMapr of any fungi;
hence, I hope you or another moderator of fungi will add this species in to NatureMapr's taxonomy (as i can't do so – i do moderate in the vascular plants) .
