Austroargiolestes sp. (genus) (Flatwing)

The two Austroargiolestes species that occur in the ACT (A. icteromelas and A. calcaris) can be very difficult to tell apart unless diagnostic differences are clearly visible. The best diagnostics for photographed specimens is the detail of the thoracic stripes on the side of the thorax. Habitat is also a useful distinguisher, but there is certainly overlap so cannot be diagnostic.
