Amyema preissii (Wire-leaved Mistletoe)

A distinctive mistletoe with feathery foliage composed of soft needle-like leaves (with pointed, but not sharp, tips). Has orange-red flowers with smooth bases and buds, borne in groups of three. Fruit are translucent, and either pearly white or pale pink with red speckles, often with a small black scar where the flower was attached. Endemic to Australia; widespread inland across all mainland states. Occurs in open forest, woodland and semi-arid woodland, especially those dominated by Acacia species.
