Cosmopterigidae (family) undescribed species (a cosmet moth)

pale head and thorax, forewing: yellow with black basal band, subterminal band and margin.

This undescribed moth was recorded regularly in years past when light trapping was conducted frequently on Black Mountain.  In more recent years it has been recorded widely but sparingly across SE Australia, from central Qld to Adelaide. It is placed in the family Cosmopterigidae for convenience, but its true taxonomic position is not clear.
