Distribution and Ecology

Endemic to Australia, occurs in Cape York Peninsula, the wet tropics bio-region NE. Qld, central eastern Qld. and southwards as far as north-eastern New South Wales. 
Altitudinal range in Cape York Peninsula and the wet tropics bio-region NE. Qld from near sea level to 800 m.
Grows in well developed rain forest and gallery forest and drier, more seasonal rain forest.
