COLEOPTERA

Small, somewhat flattened beetles with a subparallel or narrowly oval shape. Colour yellow to dark brown or black, or occasionally red and black or with a light and dark pattern on the elytra.

Adult scraptiids usually occur on flowers or foliage; the larvae are found under bark, in rotten wood, and in leaf litter.
