Aspidiphorus (Slime mould beetle)


COLEOPTERA: Sphindidae

These diminutive beetles, no more than 3mm long, feed on slime moulds (Myxomycetes) in both adult and larval stages. They are rarely photographed due to their small size and cryptic habits.
