Status: Native

Size: Grows to 13.5 cm in length but is more commonly seen up to about 7cm.

Description: Small head, large mouth and short-based fleshy fins. Colouration is highly variable yellow green brown and may be blotched or mottled or plain and often displaying a series of small white yellow or pink spots, the result of nematode infection.

Location: Endemic, occurring on both sides of the Great Dividing Range from southern Queensland to eastern South Australia. This is the most commonly galaxiid recorded in the region.
