A narrow median longitudinal umber stripe, on each side of which is an interval of ground colour of a lighter tint 2-3 times the width, marked with narrow broken longitudinal streaks, and bounded externally by a darker broken stripe; outside the latter on either side a narrow band of pale yellowish-brown free from the longitudinal streaks, and bounded externally by another darker broken line, outside of which are short darker streaks and coarse stippling. About 25 mm extended. Lives under logs in swampy habitat. The specific epithet refers to the brown streaks on the dorsum.
