Torbia perficita (Giant Torbia)

Torbia are recognised by the shape of the pronotum. It is broad and flat, and with large, lateral lobes. T. perficita is the largest of the Torbia species. It is also distinctive in that the veins of the tegmina (forewings) are both coloured and sculptured. The posterior margin of the pronotum is pronounced. And there is a pinkish-purple mark on the thorax that is quite prominent. This species is known to occur along the east coast, from the tropics to Victoria.
