question is whether subspecies lasiophylla i.e. the local or subspecies spinosa; the underside of leaves in the local lasiophylla has hairs that gives them a brown yellow appearance.

The grub may be hard to ID due to fuzzy image. If that can't be done the plant is Kunzea parvifolia.
