On Thursday morning (10Dec25) I heard a channel-billed cuckoo calling as it flew over my place just a suburb away. Maybe it was the same one.

I wasn't able to hear a call from this individual at the time, but there are now a lot of brush cuckoo calls coming from that location.

This one looks like an immature bird, with head and neck streaked and the markings on the wings.
