Looks like Asperula but the leaves are broader and the flowers are pink. Is this just a variation?

Flora of the ACT says the flowers are white or pinkish in Asperula pusilla.

From the amount that is around I don't think it is A. pusilla which is a plant found in the mountains. Apart from the colour of the flowers it seems like Galium murale which is now listed on CNM and is found on Red Hill. Maybe when it seeds we will have a better idea..

Could you get some photos, preferably closeups, of the flowers sideways on? Asperula flowers have a distinct wide tube. Galium flowers do not have a tube.

Flowers had a long thin tube so don't match either description.

There is a sign of a second flower bud. The key characters that split Sherardia from Galium and Asperula are that the flowers are in heads and that it has a calyx (cupping the flower). The other two have solitary flowers and no calyx.
