Your No. 1 photo shows a dark triangle on the forewing costa.
Is that a shadow of a piece of grass, or a motif of the wing pattern?

Definitely not a motif. It's just a bit of the grass. The only markings were small brown speckles and the distinctive fringe. It was a very plain moth. I've added another heavily cropped photo, "over sharpened" to show the speckles.

There seem to be moths like that in many Groups in Oecophorinae, not just in the Philobota Group, eg

I do not know how to distinguish them without microscopic examination.
