Juvenile fallax - they may also be brown when they come out of hibernation

I've seen green ones in the same location, but in warmer weather.

Yes that is what happens - as they warm up they change from brown to green. Many (or all) of the green frogs down here change colour in respect to their emotions, season and temperature.
