This male (filamentous antennae) has features different form C.pallens examples on Moths of Victoria. and on CNM. There is only one discal spot visible in the forewing (and its not located along the forewing main lie), whereas other C. pallens male examples have a second spot in each hindwing. The two forewing and hindwing lines are quite prominent and diffuse , although usually subdued and difuse elsewhere. The specimen is quite worn. There are dashes just visble along the forewing and hindwing margins although not as well defined as in other C. pallens examples. The moth's head and palps are distinctly black, unlike elsewhere.
