These pics were taken by Sean O'Toole who writes 'in 20 years (off and on) of walking Mt Taylor this is only the second time I have encountered an Echidna. Note from George - this was the height of the drought and there was little groundcover left on the mountain - there were many sightings of echidna's in 2019 because they could be more easily observed
