Thanks Roger, I know the spot. I think its the Leptospermum amboinense, a tropical late flowering species. which is probably why its planted at the edge of the rainforest where it does remarkably well. I also photographed some bees there a week ago but not your species. Its almost finished flowering. Thanks Jane for the ID. Roger
The other Leptospermum oppostite that plant, which I think is Flavescens, doen't seem to have done very well this year, and the flowers have almost gone now.
