So perfectly hidden in the curl of this leaf. I am completely unsure what category this insect fits - I thought it was a katydid, but it's antennae are too short? (the only diagnostic I think I know?)

I now realise that it has a broken antenna and is a Tettigoniid not a Psednurine, probably a Pseudorhynchus

No worries! I have done a revision of Psednuras see species in CNM. You may be interested to know that the last Psednura recorded at Mongarlow was P. musgravei in 1950 (ANIC Collection)
