I think this is Cooraboorama canberrae. There is a thriving population of that species at the airport in association with Grassland Earless Dragon and I have collected and/or relocated many of them. Many turn up every year in the tube shelters used for monitoring earless dragons at Majura, Canberra Airport, Jerrabomberra East and West grassland reserves, Queanbeyan nature reserve etc as they are grassland specialists. The furthest afield I have seen Cc is near Bungendore (Turallo Nature Reserve). Dave Rentz wouldn’t commit to an identification of the Bungendore specimen from a nymph so I raised it to adulthood under his instruction and it should be in ANIC, along with some of my other collections I think.
I don’t have immediate access to the papers describing the distinguishing characters of the various genera and species of Gryllacridids, but a quick check online suggests that the type specimen of Arrolla longicauda was collected at 1200 metres ASL?
