Great depiction of competition for breeding hollows between native and introduced species

Wondering whether a bird that isn't yet in full adult plumage would engage in the instinctive behaviour of looking for possible nesting hollows? Not sure if anyone knows the answer to that question, but it just came into my head when looking at this sighting and the feather colours that confused @CarbonAI into thinking this was an Eastern Rosella.

It's a pleasure doing this job @MatthewFrawley. If you don't agree with any of my suggestions, please help me improve by confirming the correct species.

Good point Matthew - will have to keep an eye out for other immature parrots checking out hollows

Is this a Crimson x Eastern Rosella hybrid?
