User's notes

Today I caught my first glimpse of a chick at the mouth of the Baldys' hollow. John had seen it on Monday but couldn't photograph it. Mum fed it from above, encouraging it up, and when she had finished feeding and sat at the top of the hollow, the chick came up to demand more (main image). When it was his turn, Baldy went further in to feed and I didn't see the chick again. There was no sign of red on its head, so possibly a female. Can't tell yet if there is more than one.
