User's notes

This young magpie has been coming around since early January, sometimes alone, but sometimes with other adults and youngsters. Obviously has a deformed beak, and I cannot imagine that it will be able to get food from the ground, and adults do not seem to feed it anymore, though I have seen it begging. I occasionally throw it some shredded cheddar, which it is able to scoop from the grass, using its tongue to assist. I am not in favour of feeding the magpies, but worried this one will not survive without some help. Any advise would be thankfully received.
