I think this a better match for Chrysolarentia imperviata.

Interesting idea. That sp is new to me. I need to think about it more. Feathery antennae would sort it for a male specimen.

The major bend in the forewing line has two 'peaks'' and different shape to the smoother E. sodaliata I'm used to.

Looking at MoV Pt3 CD pages it looks like females (of E. sod.) tend to have the steep double peaked bump on that line, males single. I'm still not sure of ID

Pale marks at forewing apex look more like E. sod. to me.

Yes both MoV Pt3 CD pages and BOLD have various examples of E. sod. with 1/3 of the submedial line, from the costa to the prominent bump(s), boldly white. Plus another bold white streak from this section diagonally towards the apex. While C. imp. has fairly even strength white for full length of submedial line, and lacks the strong white line/smudge heading towards the apex. I must be on the lookout for C. imp as 2 shots in MoV were taken close to here!
