Thelephora terrestris (Earthfan)

Thelephora terrestris occurs with introduced conifers. The fruit bodies often appear in clusters, each fruit body somewhat fan-shaped and almost hugging the ground. The upper surface is dark brown (except for usually pale margins) and shaggy. The underside is a little paler and may be wrinkled but otherwise is smooth - no gills, no pores, no teeth.
