Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea (Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea)

The fruitbody is a simple stalk, up to 80 millimetres tall and 3 wide. There is a short red stem but otherwise the fruitbody is pink to pale reddish.  

The fruitbodies grow on soil and may appear in large groups.

Look-alikes

Clavulinopsis sulcata is of similar shape, size and growth habit but is a uniform red colour throughout.

The red stem of Clavulinopsis corallinorosacea is short so you may need to clear away any leaf litter to check for the pink/red combination. Pat & Ed Grey (A little book of corals, https://www.fncv.org.au/wp-content/uploads/publications/a_little_book_of_corals.pdf) say that old fruitbodies may become completely red and so resemble Clavulinopsis sulcata.
