Family Aulacidae
A striking wasp, black with white markings and orange legs. It resembles an ichneumonid but has a conspicuous 'neck', hinting of its relationship of its family with the Gasteruptiidae.
Adult aulacids visit flowers for nectar; their larvae are parasitoids of wood-boring beetles.
