Hypycnopa delotis (Grey Carpet (Larentiinae))


Hypycnopa delotis is rarely recorded. Sightings include Launceston, Tasmania, NW Victoria and north of Geelong and Melbourne, on Kangaroo Island, near Bordertown & Naracoorte (far SE) and Ceduna in South Australia and SW New South Wales. The male has antennae with long pectinations (feather-like) while females have filiform or thread-like antennae.
