Conocybe filaris (Conocybe filaris)

This species has a small fragile, reddish-brown cap (c 10 - 10.5 mm diam.), conical to convex, translucent-striate that may have a granulose apex.

Stipe is tall and slender (c 50 mm x 2-3 mm), grey brown in colour tones particularly towards the lower half, sightly textured. The pale annulus is fragile and is easily dislodged. Spore deposit is often clearly visible on the upper surface of the annulus.

Spore print yellow brown to rusty brown, spores smooth. Grow on decaying wood, dung and litter.

Warning poisonous, contains contain amatoxins, which are highly toxic to the liver.
