Currently Ectinorhynchus but new genus. Currently Ect. pyrrhotelus but actually Ect. superbus (currently synonymised with pyrrhotelus) or undescribed species New Genus – robust flies; note apex of wing in females bright orange (grey in males) antennae – 3rd segment orange in both sexes; dull silver sides back of head; very indistinct dull matt black/reddish medial stripe surrounded by 2 indistinct broad dull silver stripes joining posteriorly on thorax; antennae longer than head, robust, first and third segments both cylinders & about equal length; sub-apical seta on hind femur, black banding on wings very distinct, venation – open m3 (difficult to see), no orange laterally on thorax.
