Ozimops sp. (genus) (Free-tailed Bats)

The taxonomy of freetail bats has been reviewed and changed in recent decades.  Bats previously believed to belong to the genus Mormopterus have been reclassified - the majority now belong to the genus Ozimops, however individual species have also been placed in the genera Setirostris adn Micronomus. The category Mormoptrus species is a hisoric placeholder for records that pre-date the changes and where it is not possible to confirm if they belong in Ozimops, Micronomus or Setirostris. The name reflects the identification at the time.
