A plasmodium is the mobile stage in a myxomycete, or slime mould, life cycle. Identification of a myxomycete from a photograph of its plasmodium is impossible.
However, the changes that occur during this stage of its life cycle can be very attractive and are worth recording, so this area makes it possible for you to record them here.
It will also give science an opportunitity to link the various stages particularly if you are able to revisit your sites on a regular basis during the following 48 hrs after first seeing an exciting plasmodium.
