Nacoleia mesochlora (Pied Crambid)


The adult moth of this species is dark brown with a broad irregular cream band across each wing, and broad white bands across the metathorax and the abdomen. The moth rests with its abdomen curved upwards. The antennae of the males in this genus each have a sharp bend with a spur at the bend. The wingspan is about 1.5 cms. The species has been found in :  Northern Territory,  Queensland,  New South Wales,  Victoria,  South Australia, and  Western Australia.
