@Frecko if you ever find any dead Petaurus please preserve them. (This individual does tick a lot of boxes for Squirrel Glider but gliders very similar in appearance to this, closer to the ACT, are frequently being identified as P notatus (Kreffts Glider). The local Krefft's are particularly similar to Squirrel Gliders because they have bushy tails which taper strongly, white undersides and prominent black and white around the ears. Nose profile differs. However photos of the same individual can show a more pointed Squirrel nose in some positions and the Kreffts 'Roman" nose in others. Your photos of the one stuck in barbed wire are an example.)
