There are two Aporoctena spp. identified to species level on both the Atlas of Living Australia and Lepidopera Butterfly House websites, A. sceriodes and A. aprepes, neither of which match this specimen. However, Moths of Victoria. Vol 5 recognises Aporoctena sp.(1) the image for the female of which quite closely matches this specimen. Moths of Victoria also describes A. sp(1) as having a distribution which includes the ACT. Therefore I have suggested this species is Aporoctena sp.
