Botanical features showing in this sighting of botanical descriptions' features and botanical keys' features,
distinguishing this from many other species including *Plantago debilis*:
• Scapes aka peduncles, with conspicuous longitudinal ridges – see photograph 2 original at full resolution in the middle.
• Inflorescence spike more congested than usual in *P. debilis*.
• Entire margin leaves usual in *Plantago lanceolata* not as usual in *P. debilis* – they do happen,
but which more often has lobes along the leaves margins.
*P. debilis* of course does grow around the south–eastern NSW region as well.
In my experience grows in humid shady, open grassy ground layer, Eucalypt forest places – most commonly i see plants .
More indigenous ('native') diversity of *Plantago* species grow around the south–eastern NSW region too.
