I'm hoping this plan later when flowering–fruiting may identify to Solanum campanulatum – https://plantnet.rbgsyd.nsw.gov.au/cgi-bin/NSWfl.pl?page=nswfl&lvl=sp&name=Solanum~campanulatum
rather than an alien Solanum weed species .

It looks like Solanum myriacanthum, but that species is not in Australia; naturalised in Asia.

Solanum viarum is certainly a possibility, at elast it occurs in NSW. Interesting to wait for flowering and fruiting.

It's in a very weedy pasture so most likely an exotic. I was just hoping. Thanks for the comments. I'll keep an eye on it.
