User's notes

Posting these photos as a record of a young bird growing her adult yellow head feathers. I first took photos of Dotty, a young female who seems to be readying herself to breed, in early April. In the past 5-6 weeks, she is growing visible yellow feathers on both her right and left cheeks. I hope to be able to follow her changes closely over the next few months. These photos were taken in the morning and late in the afternoon. Another pair were also feeding in the afternoon - a pair seen previously, with the female having no easily visible yellow feathering.
