Common in recent weeks after fires, growing on burnt wood and soil. These fungi are hairless and their coalesceing growth results in a continuous mass. As these fungi mature the become powdery.

A pale creamish species is seen in profusion up the trunks of shrubs and other vegetation. This species is more delicate than the sp. A, the  Golden Fire Fungus and tends to form numberous slightly separate groupings rather than the continuous mass of the sp. A.
